Why does Hawkeyenation.com seem more interesting than Cyclonefanatic.com?

Are they wittier than us? Are the mods more liberal? Or is it the misery that is appealing?

If you think it's more interesting there than here, I'd say its more about what's wrong with you.

I spent about 10 minutes on the site last night, more than ever before, clicked off when I read one dooosh call for the MURDER of the referees. Sad.

It's a lot more fun to watch them complain, meltdown, make excuses, and blah blah blah, then be on a bye week.

I don't think that it's more interesting. Actually, it's worse than that-HN is a piece of hok excrement.

Half the posters on HN don't spend all their time on mafia, haxball, or memes.

Yep, people usually prefer to be around others that are like themselves.

Do they even have mods, plural? I think JonDMiller might be the only mod they've got over there...

I would not call him a mod, per se. More like an absentee father.

Agreed. We at least use all kinds of memes. They seem to have fun with their "pwoud" memes, which, meh.....whatever.

There is no modding to speak of, but it doesn't make it more interesting, it's like trying to dig through a pile of **** to find 1 turd that smells a little less.

HN sucks balls. The inmates run the asylum and then when the warden tries to implement something, they have no respect for him. Joan would be better off just blowing the website up and starting from new, with stricter moderation.

You may be right, then again, this is the only place I've seen where people have gone into mini dissertations about the correct usage of memes.
