I said it before and I'll say it again.....

Last year after we beat Iowa I said the tide has fully shifted and the true power program in Iowa is Iowa State. Not just for Football, but Basketball and all sports in general....maybe minus wrestling but that's besides the point. EIU just doesn't carry the water anymore.

I actually would of rather seen Iowa win out, it hurts us when they lose like this, but it's still fun to watch the meltdown.

The tide is changing whether Iowa fans want to admit it or not. We aren't there yet but it is definitely changing.

Keep the money coming in. Building the facilities and it will never turn back. It's a beautiful thing and I'm not even an Iowan!

Re: I said it before and I'll say it again.....

ISU has for sure been the better team the last two years. And, first time I've ever said this, KF seems to be a lame duck and be losing his touch. However, ISU has a lot of work to do to become "the" program in the state. I know that pisses off a lot of ISU fans, but it's the truth. Iowa has gone 1-1 in BCS games, finished in the top 10 three times in the past decade, and been very strong while ISU has struggled with two coaching changes and several losing seasons.

However, that does not mean ISU is not catching ground, and Rhoads is building a good program in ISU. I don't know why so many fans get on this "we are now the program in the state" deal, but does that really matter? I think if there's anything we can all learn from Iowa's performance, is that never be too sure in what you have.

Dont forget the super fan base that once again booed their own team off the field.

I frankly don't care about their past BCS success because that coach is a lame duck and out the door soon. The program is in a tail spin.

Tell me honestly, if you paid $40 per ticket and wasted a Saturday afternoon watching that crap, that you wouldn't be ****** off and boo? Even if you weren't, there's plenty of fans in any fanbase that would.

    I'd boo. **** that game.

    No, it does not.

Unless we are playing for a championship, SOS matters little. Bowls will primarily look at W-L and the value of the program (its ability to bring fans and viewers). Either way we'll have to prove ourselves in more games down the road regardless of how well (or not well) iowa performs in a given year.

I'd be fine with iowa having a down decade or two like we did. Give us a chance to capture the casual fans of the state. We're already making great strides in this area.

The program will be fine. Great facilities, stadium, and a good fan following. Hate to say it though, as long as KF is around, I don't see it getting much better.

Very accurate. We aren't close to "overtaking" Iowa. That's like saying MSU has overtaken Michigan because of recent success. This sin't something that happens in two years. It takes 10+ make that change. First we have to get young kids going against the grain and then we have to keep alumni involved. I bet if you looked at the average contribution to athletics by alumni, we get our ***** kicked.

It is clear that Iowa is not better off than they were 4 years ago.

He's turning into U of I's Danny Mac. Brought the team up from the ashes, leveled off and is now on the decline.

I think most people on this board had season tickets back when we would have loved to have a game where we were just competive. Nobody booed then.

We play in the Big 12. How much can this really hurt our schedule? Will it drop down to 10th in the nation?

I know that we don't need the SOS, anyway, but it isn't even hurting that enough to (hypothetically) matter.
