    Gruden or Collinsworth NFL Analysts

Who do you prefer to listen to break down plays and give their insight into NFL plays.
    - Generally I can't stand to listen to Chris Collinsworth give his snickering (Johnny Miller like) remarks and laughs. He is the most narcissistic football guy on TV. I don't think Al Micheal's likes being out smarted in the booth either.
    - I do like to listen to Jon Gruden break down plays and how he knows what defenses are doing before plays even take place. Last week during the Broncos Falcons game Tirico kept making comments about game stoppage and the replacement refs and Grudent you could tell was getting frustrated over the whole issue and just said "Lets just play football" Who do you guys like or can't stand.

Gruden. I wish the Vikes would give him a contract he couldn't refuse.

That would be awesome. I would think Gruden would be a big sought-after coach. His insights are uncanny and how he can see everything going on the field, especially in the trenches. I think players love the guy too.

I miss Jaws. Now there is way too much of Gruden to stomach.

Re: Gruden or Collinsworth NFL Analysts

The one thing I don't like about Gruden is how he always talks about how great players are. The spin he puts on everyone reminds me a lot of Sid Hartman. I'm not saying Gruden is an old senile journalist, but he gushes over players and coaches constantly.

I do prefer him over Collinsworth.

Re: Gruden or Collinsworth NFL Analysts

    Gruden for sure.

I like almost everything about Gruden, except when he always says that so-and-so is the best DE, or QB, or TE, etc in the game... and then the following week it's someone else that's the best at that same position.

There's not much better TV though IMO, than when Gruden talks to all the rookie QBs coming into the NFL on his special on ESPN before the season starts. That is awesome. Gruden knocks their egos down quite a few notches usually.

Re: Gruden or Collinsworth NFL Analysts

Collinsworth. By far the best analyst in the game, he can break down the entire play, not just the QB and skill players like Gruden can. Gruden tends to get way too hyperbolic when describing most players, he makes almost every player sound like they are hall of fame bound.

I'd actually take Collinsworth. Gruden sucks balls. Collinsworth only sucks one ball.
