    Who is your #35?

The single most difficult choice IMO ... in fact, Iowa State didn't even choose between these two - both of them have a retired #35 hanging in Hilton.

So you must decide, who was the best ever to wear #35 for ISU?

not old enough to know Zaid but understand he was a heckuva ball player. Barry was obviously awesome too but I am going to go with Zaid even though never saw him play.

    Bolded for emphasis.

Went with Stevens simply from the standpoint of what he did for the legacy of Iowa State BB. Smith/Abdul-Aziz was incredible, though.

I vote for Stevens. What number did Marcus Jefferson wear? I thought he wore 35 as well but I'm likely wrong.

Marcus Jefferson wore #34 as a freshman, then wore #50 the next three seasons.

    Re: Who is your #35?

I went with Abdul-Aziz. I remember many years ago reading a sports book from the school library that showed a list of recent college All American teams. I was amazed that it showed Don Smith from Iowa State on the first team. This was the 70s when they were terrible and, considering the times, I could not believe they had ever had a player that good.
