    Living History Farms Race

Any of you done this? I am thinking of signing up. I have done the Tough Mudder and was wondering how this compares and if it is a good time? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

LHF is a lot of fun. Last year was awesome, as we had beated OSU the night before and everybody was still excited from that. It's a huge run (lots of people) and always a challenge. Never done a Tough Mudder, but I usually try to come back to Iowa and run that race.

LHF is awesome. My problem is it seems to always fall on a home football weekend with an 11am start.

I did it last year and will again this year. You spend a lot of time waiting for people to cross the creeks and pass through skinny trails unless you start near the front. But it is a lot of fun.

    Re: Living History Farms Race

As others have said the race is fun, over the river and through the woods, oh and about 7 passes through a creek. I have raced 2 years but not recently.

The past couple of years the race has been the same day or the day after (last years OKstate) a home game. Im not going to subject myself to getting up and running 7 miles after a tailgate.

It appears that this year the race is the day of the Kansas game so I just might sign up.

FYI- If you plan to race, sign up early because the race is limited to 7500 people and it will fill up and fairly quickly. Wear old clothes/Shoes, lots of people wear costumes etc. I have seen people carrying backpacks with beer and stopping along the way for a refreshment. Have fun with it.

I've done it 5 times, and it is always a blast.
