Man, look at Kansas State (now 12-0) vaulting from 19th to 11th after beating Minnesota in five and sweeping Dayton. They were the only team to jump more spots than Iowa State. Looks like we're not just going to be fighting Texas for the top of the league this year.

All people who make sweepingly generalized, stupid, uninformed comments are idiots.

Pelger has been a great player for them the past couple years, and appears to be again this year.

I think I did read that that was Minny's 2nd match in that afternoon (swept Dayton) which may have been part of why they lost.

As far as Kansas State goes, they will be tough this year. Remember, they knocked out Nebby on their home court in Lincoln in the second round of the NCAA tournament last year.

KSU is 12-0 with 10 sweeps. Minnesota and Oergon State took them to 5 sets. The sweeps include Dayton, Creighton, and Syracuse (one week before the ill-fated match in Ames).

Either KSU is a bit of a paper tiger, or OU is really good.

Same team as last year for KSU. I would love to see us sweep them again, and not drop a set, again.

I think they are good, but not deserving of the huge jump in rankings they got. They beat a tired MN, and Dayton got too much love in the polls for a sweep over a very shaky (and also over ranked at the time) Illinois. Oregon State also got a ton of love for beating Penn State but are now back to being unranked.

That's not to say I don't think they are a good team, but I can't say I'm terribly surprised Okie beat them. OSU was getting a few votes in the poll, and I would say realistically, KSU is closer to 20th overall. We got punished pretty hard for a couple bad losses, but I think we'll start taking care of business again and move back up to the top fifteen.
