I've said it probably 50x and I'm going to say it again. Time to bowl it in. With the new TV contract $$$ and the fanbases' excitement level, there is no better time than to do this ASAP.

    That is so, so cool!

If you have a chance turn to the Kansas/TCU game on FX. Kansas has a new coach (which should make people excited) and are playing a top 20 team pretty well. Their high school stadium is crazy empty.

Kansas struggled to fill their stadium the year they went to the Orange Bowl.
I'm convinced if KU ever went undefeated in FB, they'd still have trouble selling tix.

It wasn't that long ago that Marty Tirrell got his head shaved because he thought we couldn't sell 30k. Honestly I'm proud of this fanbase.

Yep, I'm starting to be in complete agreement with this. 55,000 fans in the stadium to watch the Cyclones take on Western Illinois, that says a LOT about this fan base. Creds to the fans for packing JTS...and yes, I think it's time to seriously consider bowling in the SEZ.

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

We need a few more seasons of sustained success before making that kind of investment. I don't want us to have to borrow Baylor's tarp.

One key is can we convert the cheap hill side seats to more expensive south end zone seats.

Uhhh, when you are filling the 55,000 seat stadium for an FCS opponent not named Northern Iowa its time to bowl in the endzone... Georgia Tech's stadium is really empty for this conference game vs. Virginia. This is one of those situations where you say if they build it we will fill it as this will only increase hype even more.

Speaking from the cheap seats, what a kick it is to take my junior clone club kids to see a game. I would not be able to afford that if we were forced to the stands. Maybe we keep the north hillsides and caveat that there must be at least one junior for every adult.

How much success have we really had to get to this point though? A couple 6 win seasons? I honestly don't see it falling off very much if we don't sustain this. The fans are here to stay.

If we have a few more seasons of success before we bowl in the SEZ, we'll be losing a decent amount of ticket revenue. We've had 3-4 consecutive seasons of increased season tickets sales and it will be even more next year with Iowa, UNI, and Texas all at home. We need to bowl it in now so when these successful seasons continue and we have favorable home schedules, we will have enough seats to accommodate larger crowds.

Attendance vs. Mizzou in 2004 says hello.

The fan support will be cyclical, and WILL decrease big time if Rhoads struggles for a couple of consecutive seasons. You can't possibly say that the fans are here to say at this point. Let's see what happens after a couple of bowl-less seasons.

That is why you do it NOW. People will see the construction, recruits will see the construction, and get excited. You don't assume the program will go on a downward spiral and hope to ride out the rough waters. You do it now.

    Unreal.
