Andrew Parker Questions I'd like to know

First off, great to see the Andrew Parker interview on cyclones.com

I'd like to hear more about what he did after basketball for a living and how/if his college degree helped him along with his basketball reputation. Seems like a real humble down to earth guy with a good head on his shoulders.

Overall, great interview but left me wanting to hear more about Andrew's life post-ISU.

I heard he and his brother started a pretty successful game company.

Board games. Sorry, I didn't mean to troll you, just making a little joke.

Re: Andrew Parker Questions I'd like to know

I've know Andrew here in Houston and we both attended ISU at the same time.

Most folks don't realize he was 1st team All Big 8 and lead our team in scoring and was one of the top scorers in the conference - at a time when ISU basketball was struggling big time. He is a great guy and loves the Cyclones and you'll see him frequently at ISU FB & MBB games.

Re: Andrew Parker Questions I'd like to know

As I remember, he was fairly well touted coming in, but ISU basketball was in disarray. I felt that first year, he was pretty much thrown to the wolves. He came out of that experience and became the top scorer and a leader for the team that surprised everyone in taking second in the Big 8.

I'm still heartbroken he missed a last attempt shot that would have beaten Iowa in '78 (I think). We finally got to play them in Hilton (same deal with FB why they wouldn't come to Ames) and it would have been great to have beaten a Lute Olson coached team.
