In a very bad position if we don't win tonight. We are bossing the game, but just unlucky thanks to the goal posts and some very good keeping. I wouldn't mind seeing Shea come in for Torres so long as Jones starts playing better. If he doesn't, then I'd put Shea where Torres is and Torres as the linkup player instead of on the wing. I'm hopeful for an early goal and then the wheels just fall off for Jamaica though.
Will have Jamaica on goal differential if this score holds for the group lead.
Guatemala, US, and Jamaica are all tied at the top of the group with 7 pts. Guatemala and the US are +2 on goals and Jamaica is +1.
Everybody has 2 matches left in the middle of October. The US is away at Antigua and Barbuda and then has Guatemala in Kansas City. Jamaica is away at Guatemala and then home against Antigua. So of course Guatemala is at home against Jamaica and then comes to the US. The US still has work to do to advance to the final stage of qualifying (the Hexagonal),but the win tonight makes things a bit easier.

I'll take our final two games in their locations over any of the other teams situations in our group.
Absolutely, but there's still work to be done. Jamaica went to Antigua and didn't score coming out with a 0-0 draw. I'd like to think that the US could pull 3 points out of that match, but road matches in CONCACAF are never a gimme even against the crap squads.
