Agreed. I love for us to do in Carver what Illinois has done there in recent years as far as #'s of opp. fans in Carver.
Yeah... probably not going to happen this year. Iowa fans are more excited about this season than they have been in a long time. I doubt there will be much room for any team to stage an "invasion" like the Illini did several years ago.
I went to a couple of BB games in Lincoln. It was a lot of fun with the few ISU fans there being louder than the whole kNU contingent. That isn't really a fair comparison to this situation since the Fusker fans were confused that "the ball isn't pointy".
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr
I plan to go, if tickets are available. I didn't think it could be a problem this early, but it might be.
Update on this. Tickets for ISu/IA now go on sale fore IOWA FANS ONLY starting Nov. 19 then on Nov. 26 the remaining tickets go on sale to general public (i.e. ISU fans) Sounds like someone trying to keep ISU fans out of Carver.
