Awesome, I'm hoping by it being a Bar and "Grill" means kids would be ok. If it was just me, i'd be down for whatever, but since i'm traveling with some youngsters i'd prefer to stay away from a bar atmosphere. Thanks again for your help, I might check it out.
Brooksider will be packed with Cyclones so get there early. There are usually some kids there if I recall correctly. They do serve food and have a full menu. Outside of that, Cyclones usually hang out at eithe of the locations for "The Other Place" but they will be overwhelmingly full of Hawkeyes today so you will e better off at the Brooksider I think.
(I'm looking to find a bar w the game on in Lawrence....unfortunately, the KU is on at the same time)
Same problem. The best bet I could think of was getting it on a smaller TV at BWW. I'm not even messing with it and am going to KC to either the Brooksider or maybe one of the Johnny's if I can't get there early enough.
Looking for a family friendly spot to cheer on the Cyclones down in KC. I know I could always hit BWW, but I'm looking for a Cyclone hangout. Any suggestions??
Below are the specials that the Brooksider will be having. They also have an outdoor patio with some good TV's. There should be a good crowd.
Free Admission – The food specials for each game are wings for $5.99, 2 hot dogs for $4.99, $15 dollar mix n match buckets of beer, 5 bottles per bucket. They will also be serving the ISU mug special if you bring yours with you.
You could try McCoys in Westport across from Kellys. Probably will have to ask to put the game on. McFadden's in the Power & Light is a sports bar, but is cool with having kids in there that time of day.
