    What is this bug?

    Found in my house..took picture then killed it. Now I ask questions. Hope it's not something beneficial.

    The one I killed was about 2-2.5 inches long, doesnt seem like a regular centipede.

    I've seen these before. Never knew what they were until I saw a thread on reddit and some bug expert answered it. I think they are harmless and eat a lot of bugs and insects that you wouldn't want in your house.

    Then, again, they are creepy as hell and scare the **** out of you when they scurry across the floor.

    House centipede. Can bite, so you shouldn't pet it, but they are common and beneficial. Fast little things, too.
