    2008 Cyclones

Watching a replay of the Iowa game from 08 on BTN. Not sure many from that team would start on the current team. I'm guessing about 6-7 at most.

Probably Stephens, Lamak, Hamilton on offense, Lyle on defense. Frere played much better in 09. There's a few others in the conversation such as Arob, but he didn't really turn it on until his junior year. Johnson was another player that didn't really come into his own until his junior year in 10.

Overall the 08 Clones were a bad team, but its good to see the talent level has risen quite a bit in the 4 years since, and very few from that squad would start this year.

What happened to Bates? I know he transferred but did he have any success?

United Fisherman of Alaska. With a name like Bates you would have thought he would be good enough to make it.

So the UFA: Do they have a certification program? Like apprentice rod holder, journeyman net tender, master baiter, etc?

    Re: 2008 Cyclones

Not sure why I watched it last night but it completely refreshed my memory that we completely dominated that game and lost due to 1 **** poor punt coverage and Mahoney missing 4 FG's. It's hilarious that Chizik should have been 2-0 against Ferentz.

Did anyone else notice how the Big 10 announcers kept failing at pronouncing many of the Hawkeye's names? I counted more then once where they got Angerer and Bulaga's names wrong
