    need kid ticket help/info

Hi cyclone fans. Not spamming just need some info on Jack Trice ticket policy. I have 3 boys, ages 1,3 and 5. We want to sit hillside for the Southern Illinois game on the 15th. Do all of our boys need tickets for admission? Also, I looked into the Jr. Cyclone club and that seems like a pretty decent deal, thoughts?

A little background just to say hello....

We recently moved to Polk City from Colorado in Aug 2010. I'm a CU Boulder alum and my my wife is a cyclone alum. I'm taking classes for my secondary education certificate at ISU so I've come to adopt the cyclones but I'm a diehard buff at heart. Moving out of the Big 12 makes that a lot easier.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any help!

The 1 year old should be free. The others won't be, unless I'm forgetting something (which happens).

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

I think 3 years is the cutoff, so the 3 year old might be too. Not 100% on that.

The jr cyclone club is a great deal. $49 and it covers the whole athletic year all sports except home mens conference games. it pays for itself after a few games.

I believe 3 and under is free, but yes the little cyclone club is great. My daughter has been in it for all 5 years even though she didnt need it until last year They get a t shirt and she can go to some men's bball games, women's games and all Olympic sports, plus they get into the "cyclone experience" area which is great for the kids, all for $49.

    Re: need kid ticket help/info

The 1 year old is free--I just looked it up last week (I have a 16 mo old myself, she got in free on Sat) The are free until they turn 2--same for basketball. If you are thinking of going to any other football games with the kids, the Jr Cyclone Club is a great deal. We live in Ames so get the kids to at least 3-4 football games. The kids also get in free to certain men's basketball games (not any conference games, usually all non-conference), women's basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, and wrestling. We use it for all of those and definitely get our money's worth.

Any time I take my girls (4 and 6) up to a game, there has always been someone willing to give them a free ticket.

    Re: need kid ticket help/info

I believe it's 2 and under is free and 3 year olds have to pay.

***Unrelated side note: don't have your 3 year old say he's 2, or when they ask how old he is he might say "I'm 3! But today I'm pretending to be 2!!!" Hypothetically of course...

Im just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard, Eustachy joked. If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, hell be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.

    Re: need kid ticket help/info

Per Venue Information on Jack Trice:
    Children Rules

Ages 1 and under do not require a ticket.

Night games are fun. This year we have been sitting on the SE hillside so we can see the big screen. We tend to sit near the top where it is a little more flat. They do check bags, but allow "child care" items which for us always include some snacks/candy for the kids to snack on. I just hide it under the diapers. ;) You can also legally bring in unopened bottles of water so take advantage of that instead of buying $4 bottles of water in the stadium.

There is a kids zone set up before the game with face painting and inflatables. Located on the NE corner of Jack Trice Stadium between Lot s 85E and S8, this family-friendly environment includes inflatable attractions, face painting and other activities for kids. All free! And this is also where the Jr. Cyclone Club is stationed on game day - stop on by! We open three (3) hours before kickoff at each home game and we close 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

If you are thinking of doing the Jr. Cyclone Club, at that game the kids get to be on the field when the players enter. We have done that before and it a neat perspective. They only do that for one game a year.

Quick follow up Question....where should we park that is relatively close to the stadium? Are there pay lots on the East side to tailgate in?
