    ISU marketing

The AD is really getting is moneys worth with their graphic designer. The onestate and oneRivalry signs are cool with the brewing storm theme. The posters the last few years have been nearly frame worthy.

I'm an Iowa graduate and fan, and I think ISU is lightyears ahead of Iowa when it comes to marketing its football program, and the university in general. The ONE campaign is solid. I even think the Choose Your Adventure TV campaign for ISU is better than about 95% of the college/university advertising out there.

The bowlsby billboards were terrible. They made me upset with the marketing dept.

The Bowlsby billboards were a continuation of previous campaigns, all meant to stoke the rivalry. It's the message, the placement and the timing that is the marketing genius of the ISU Athletic Department.

    Brilliant.

    Re: ISU marketing

There is no denying that the excellent marketing of ISU athletics has reaped financial rewards in many ways, especially through ticket sales and merchandising. The marketing group has done a tremendous job with the ad campaigns and with use of social media and email campaigns. Improved products on the courts and fields, and access to coaches and players through events like fan fest have also really helped.
