    Pete Link

It seems there are more comments about strength and conditioning workouts this year. Pete Link is listed among WBB coaches as Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. Link had been among the "Olympic sports" coordinators, working with volleyball and others. Is this a change in emphasis? Strength helps the game and minimizes injuries.

definitely think it was a needed strategic move. Many of the top WBB programs have dedicated S&C staff. In the Big 12, you got to be strong, and have endurance to last a season.

My daughter loves it, and has become a little proud of some definition she's getting in her arms now (she doesn't hesitate to show me her muscles) she never lifted in HS, and she was dreading it at first. I would say link is doing a good job because she loves lifting now!!

    rb,

I am probably the #1 Emiah fan on here outside of yourself, but if I were forced to name a possible concern for her making the transition to the college game, it would have been strength conditioning. She more than made up for it with her quickness and aggressiveness in HS, but she's at the next level now, and the Big 12 to boot. It is fantastic to hear she is taking to the weights so well!

Well her body is already showing changes, her AAU coach saw her when she was home, and that's the first thing he said that she was getting a college basketball body!! She's really working hard, and wants to do well for herself, and the fans of the program!!

This was announced in the same press release that announced Billy was the new assistant and Steyer was promoted to associate head coach, so it was pretty easy to miss.
