Re: Expect a different Steele Jantz in this year's Cy-Hawk game

You should have mentioned Ethan Tuftee's mohawk. It's shaved on the sides and way better than Jake and Steel's mohawks.

Ha. I forgot. I'll get Ethan added to the list.

idk. I suspect some of CPR's comments that SJ's scrambling and breaking contain "will not be there" is a little bit of smokescreen.

Trust me, KF, Jantz is a pocket passer. No need to prepare otherwise. -- CPR

Was thinking the exact same thing. But all he really has to do is run QB draw plays for 73 yards a carry and we win by 49. LOL - wonder how many times we'll see that on Saturday ;-)

Iowa having to respect Jantz's scrambling ability is good for our offense because the defensive ends can't just bull-rush their way to sack. I bet they're going to have to blitz to get any respectable pass rush going on, which opens up options in the passing game.

Well, to be fair, their ends kinda suck and couldn't bull-rush their way to a sack anyway. They are very inexperienced and young on the D-line this year.

Re: Expect a different Steele Jantz in this year's Cy-Hawk game

He did look improved but I am still going to temper my expectations for him. Remember, Tulsa had one of the worst pass defenses in the country last year. I mean scary bad. They were ranked like 110 or something like that.

"But you know that old thing, live fast, die young? Not my way. Live fast, sure, live too bloody fast sometimes, but die young? Die old. That's the way- not orthodox, I don't live by "the rules" you know." - David Brent
