beIN Sport acquired the rights to all US road WC qualifiers so it will be on that network Friday. It's a new soccer network that DirecTV added to their sports tier (Ch. 620). It might be available on other cable providers as well, but I'm not sure which ones yet.

It's on TV if you get that Al Jazeera sports network (I think it's something like beIn?)

Terrence Boyd just keeps scoring goals. Two more over the weekend to bring his season tally up to 6.

I am excited for next Tuesday as I will be attending the game here in Columbus. I saw the US play a friendly against Brazil in 2007 (in Chicago) but never a game that had meaning like this one. USA! USA! USA!

Yes sir! We're going to be watching at the new Hy-Vee in Urbandale (Douglas & 86). Apparently they have a bar/grill attached to the store & with Victor's being closed for a private party, we figured it'd be cool to check it out. Kick is at 7pm.

Leonardo is a quality midfielder, mostly because he has katanas.

That midfield doesn't instill any confidence what so ever.

Re: USMNT prepares for World Cup qualifiers against Jamaica

I'm amazed Spector gets a call up ahead of Lichaj based purely on skill, it has to have something to do with Lichaj still trying to fight his way into a consistent starting spot for Aston Villa, but it's disappointing for the USMNT. I was also very very very upset to hear Josh Gatt initially got the call up and then immediately got injured, I've been looking forward to seeing him in the full team for what seems like years now!

Other than that I can't argue with too much. I hope Dempsey is match fit, obviously. I'm not too concerned with the midfield like some others except that Jose Torres has played himself out of every game I've seen. Stealing a joke from another site, "Jose Francisco Torres must be Spanish for 'Klinsmann's Johnathon Bornstein'" haha.

I'm mostly just not sure who plays up top, Jozy is still a more complete package than Boyd but I love the way Boyd fights for the ball up top, something Jozy has never really excelled at despite his size. With the way Boys has been playing in Austria I wouldn't be surprised if he started one of the games.

No Michael Bradley? What am I missing? He seems to always be one of the most active and capable. I think he plays smarter than most too.
