    Vanderbilt = Iowa State

    Are they just a younger Iowa State? Were going into our 4th year of new and Vandy is going into 2nd.

    Vandy is putting together very good recruiting classes. They have a number of 4 stars. Franklin is doing an outstanding job.

    Re: Vanderbilt = Iowa State

    Its hard to tell after one year.

    Vandy won 7 games and went to a bowl in 08. Had two bad 2-10 seasons in which they were competitive in many games but landed on the wrong side of the score board. Last year's 6 wins with no noteable victories doesn't tell me enough to know if they are actually turning it around.

    Many would have been reluctant to say that about Rhoads after the first season and what Rhoads did was much more impressive. 7 wins in the first season after going 9-27 over the previous 3. Big win in Lincoln and a bowl win.

    Vandy was competitive in a lot of their games, but they have been competitive in the recent past, just unable to get over the hump and actually finish. That is the big thing I would be looking for from them this season. Being able to finish games. Rhoads can, can Franklin?

    Anybody else notice former recruit Josh Grady running the Wildcat for Vandy down by the goal-line? Think it was down to us, Vandy, and USF on signing day.

    There he is again. Ugly pass by the QB but Grady pulled it in.

    If you are talking to me, I'm not saying it is, however I think it could be debated.

    I'm saying that Rhoads brought ISU up farther than Franklin has brought up Vandy in one year. It is just too early to say that Vandy is actually progressing at a similar pace or maybe last year is just a fluke. We will know better after this year.

    Don't talk to me about stars either. Until those stars translate on the field. I know ISU success with 4 star players isn't good at all. I want to see results on the field and not on the recruiting boards.

    The font on the front of their jerseys looks an awful lot like our "cyclone" font.

    Re: Vanderbilt = Iowa State

    franklin has vandy rising much quicker than cpr does here

    it really is quite amazing the recruiting class that he brought in already to a school like vandy

    of course the big problem for the commodores though is that franklin wont stay there when a bigger school offers

    I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I'M FEELING 22!
