    Taggart Starts for Memphis

If anyone is interested in following the "last big thing" for us, he is playing right now for Memphis.

2 pts midway through the 1st half.

His D is still lacking...got a butt chewing from Calipari already...looks a little more filled out though, and and a little bit quicker...he won't start as soon as Dorsey gets healthy.

Good luck to Tags. I think his shooting touch gives him the ability to stretch the floor well, but I never really saw what made him a 4 star prospect, or why Rivals thought he could be a SF.

I liked the kid and will root for him. He was definitely a little bit overrated but he's still very talented. Memphis is so athletic it's almost ridiculous.

I wish him well. It sucks that we lost him, but obviously he didn't want to play under a disciplined style like Mac has. Good luck to him, I'll take who we have.

He scored 7 and had 13 boards. Not bad.

Agreed. It's better for him to go somewhere where he can get some playing time vs. not being able to fit in to Mac's system.

    Re: Taggart Starts for Memphis

I saw him grab one nice board and dish it out for an open three.

Then on the next trip down some dude from Tenn Martin went right around him for a layup.

    Good ole Tags

    Re: Taggart Starts for Memphis

I know Taggart Struggled his freshman year, but he was very sick the first 2 months of the season and lost 20 pounds. Plus, there wasn't a lot of discipline under the previous regime. He would have flourished under McDermott. He will do well at Memphis, and I wish him well.

Yeah, I think a little McD would have done Taggart well. Look what he did with Jiri and Wes....think what he could have done by bulking and toughening up the quite talented Taggart. Oh well, I guess it's his loss.

That being said, good luck to him. Hopefully we'll play him in the big dance.
