I would be more than happy to pay $36 for a T shirt if you would bring back the high quality shirts from about 10 years ago. I just threw one away that I got over 10 years ago. I wore it so much that the print was completely gone but the shirt was still solid. Everything in the last 5 years is just your typical junk t shirt.
I miss the silly shirts from the Campus Bookstore already. Last one i bought said "Fear the Clone"
Also what just happend to the Yellow shirts that say Iowa State on the front and the plain old BEAT "School Name" shirts? Get it together t-shirt shops in Ames. You are trying to hard to be like the nike stuff which is lame. Bring back the fun stuff and lets get down to business (tailgating) please.
I used that tailgate T shirt for 10 years and 5 of those years I wore it as one of my "change into something comfortable while I'm home" shirt. It probably got washed 200+ times. I think I only paid $10 for it at one of their sales but if they would make the same quality shirts again I would have no problem paying $35.
The issue is if a shirt lasts then you won't need to buy another. They want you to buy a new tshirt because you have to not because you want to.
It's kind of like in the 70's when polyester came about. The clothing companies were afraid people wouldn't need to buy anything new because the clothes wouldn't wear out. The solution was to produce the most hideous piece of clothing ever concieved. The Leisure Suit. No one bought it and polyester has forever been linked to ugly clothing.
They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.
want to see a sick ratio, try the scheels in coralville. half the store is hawkeye gear. then like 5 things cyclone. sickening.
The man speaks the truth. Their Iowa stuff is about the size of one of the small stores in the mall. The ISU section is about 20 feet of rack. Note: not whining, it's in Coralville, but it's frustrating.
