The only thing worse than having 2qbs is having 3qbs.

I'm not trying to be difficult, it comes naturally....

Well Rhoads always talks about Steele, so I'm going with Steele.

True, although I think it's a plus that Richardson has played himself into the conversation.

Something tells me its going to be Steele. A healthy Steele that makes good decisions is far and away our best quarterback.

Good, grief, the reference to have to "grade out film" to figure out who your quarterback is going to be doesn't sound good. Hope that is somewhat out of context and they actaully have a favorite even if it is by a slim margin.

Re: QB race still a mystery as fall camp concludes

Is there a chance that the team and coaches have known who will be the starter for some time? I mean even if we have known who our starter would be for a few weeks now, why would we let it be public and give Tulsa more time to game plan around one QB instead of two? Might as well make it a little tougher for them right?

I think it's probably just a matter of them trying to eliminate some confirmation bias. I'm sure they have ideas of who was the best, but sometimes your hunches can fool you.

This point is null. They are preparing for the same offense. It's not like we run a different system with different quarterback..

Re: QB race still a mystery as fall camp concludes

I thought it was pretty clear that by Sunday or Monday after this final scrimmage that we'd have a decision. Is this article an FYI for those not paying attention?

Also can we get an update on how Grant Rohach has looked? It isn't very often we get Elite 11 QB's around here. Maybe when u talk to coach about who won the job ask whether Grant was even in consideration, etc...

There is no mystery...we are going to start the quarterback that gives us the best chance to win games.

I hope that steele gets the nod against Tulsa, Looking forward to seeing just how improved steele is over last years rutgers game.

I guess yeah the system as a whole is the same, but it was obvious watching last year that we are 10 times better w/ the zone read with JB in there and im sure there are other things we do different with Jantz behind center.
