    KU

This is really wierd, but they are in the national title hunt and it is not for MBB. Mizzou and OU are as well. They have to win out and I am sure LSU will fold in the SEC title game, the wild card is Oregon.

    Re: KU

Kansas has a lot more difficult road to get to the national title game than does either Ohio State, Oregon, or LSU.

I would be mildly surprised if LSU loses in the SEC title game. UCLA is the only team on Oregon's schedule that has the horses to defeat Oregon, and Ohio State only has to worry about Michigan.

Kansas has a number of games remaining where they could be challenged.

Kansas could get there, but they are still a long shot.

    Re: KU

If KU wins out, including a win over Mizzou and OU, they should be in the national title game. If a one loss team get in over KU, they officially got screwed. For the record, I don't think they will win out.

IMO, the Big 12 winner should be in the national title game. Big 12 has been very strong this year.

I'd put an undefeated Kansas team in without any hesitation, although I don't think they'll make it through undefeated. The order after that would be:
    1 Loss LSU
    1 Loss Oklahoma
    1 Loss Oregon
    Undefeated Hawaii

Hypothetically, if the Big 12 champion has one loss (Oklahoma or Missouri), and LSU and Oregon also have one loss, I don't think that the BCS will see it that way.

If there was a Loser Bowl, it would be Minnesota vs Notre Dame.

How in any way is this relevant to the topic?

Nebraska might compete for that title also.

    Re: KU

If KU wins out I really think they will be in the title game. They're not terribly far behind Oregon and LSU and consecutive wins over two other top 6 BCS schools plus a probable boost among the voters should be enough to leapfrog the one loss teams.

But it will all be irrelevant when we beat them on the 17th, right?

    Re: KU

I think the last thing any of us needs (including the rest of the Big XII) is Kansas on an ego trip comes basketball season due to a "basketball" school making it to the title game. We deal with it when it comes to basketball - we really don't need it for football as well. I'd much rather see Missouri run the table because at least they don't have much to talk about when it comes to basketball. Bottom line, Kansas needs to lose at least once over the next month for sanity purposes.

actually KU plays MU at Arrowhead the week after the ISU game. But I just hope that ISU / KU is on national TV and ISU pulls off the upset. I think knocking a team out of than National Championship picture on National TV would help recruiting.

And by national TV, I don't mean VS. network
