How to recover a fumble per Greg Schiano

The subtitle was right - it's not what I was expecting

Greg Schiano on recovering fumbles: “Squeeze your butt cheeks” | Smart Football

You can spend a lot of time and money picking out the perfect floral bouquet for your date ... but you're probably better off checking if you have bad breath and taking the porn out of the glove compartment.

Well yeah, obviously. It happened to me a couple times in high school at the bottom of a pile just playing offensive line. I just had never heard a coach say "close our eyes, close your mouth and squeeze your butt cheeks."

On a somewhat related topic, I can't believe the number of people who apparently play football without a cup. I think I was about the only guy on my high school team who did and it saved me a few times (thanks again to Ankeny and Urbandale).

All sorts of unthinkables happen at the bottom of the pile since its not who actually recovers the fumble, its who has it once the refs peel the others off

Those guys obviously learned how to recover fumbles under Jerry Sandusky.

Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

There is a solution, especially in today's hyper-sensitivity toward this sort of thing in light of the Sandusky scandals: get it on video, and press sexual assault charges. Make the opposing player register as a sex offender for the next 10 years, and get kicked off the team. You'd see this sort of thing cleaned up in a really big hurry.

Yep, not one person on my high school team wore one that I can remember, played at A-P, so wasn't like we were a dinky program. I really don't remember it being much of an issue, wasn't really "in the trenches" though.

Quote from imported_blubberhawk on HN after ISU beatdown of Iowa in Carver '14

"When you lose to a fricking joke of a program like ISU, you get what you deserve. That game is a perfect illustration of why our head coach should be retired.
In defense of the Big ten network, it is tough to find Iowa games anymore when we aren't embarrassed."
