Watched last night from Shueyville area. Light pollution is bad to north (CR) and south (IC), but the meteors were easy to spot.

Not lots of meteors last night, maybe every 3-5 minutes, but many were really bright and long trails - quite impressive. If there is higher quantity of same tonight it will be a hell of a thing.

I doubt the weather will cooperate for viewing tonight, I'd be shocked if its not cloudy.

Is there a best direction to look to?

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

    Re: Perseid meteor shower

Whilest running this morning, I saw a few. Took me a second to realize what I had seen. One of the perks of having to get up so freaking early, I suppose...

Tonight is supposed to be a good night, if its clear. You want to look mainly to the east.
