Traditional Living brand flooring at Sam's Club

I'm about to do the fourth room of my house in wood laminate and this will be the third brand I've tried. Has anyone used this stuff? Reviews online are mostly positive and the price is right.

Is there something about the other two laminates that you didn't like? Typically products in a similar price range will perform similarly.

I don't have much use for the lower end of the spectrum, but you usually get into decent products in the $1.49 and up range.

From my experience, you get what you pay for. Meaning there's usually a reason a product is the cheapest option, because its inferior and cheaply made. I tend to go with the middle of the road prices

First two rooms were Armstrong, which was great to work with and has held up well. My Home Depot doesn't stock the same color anymore but I suppose I could probably special order it.

Third room was Pergo, which I thought was cheap crap. Had a lot of issues with pieces of it breaking off as I was snapping it into place.

This Sam's Club stuff is priced well at $1.53/sq ft, about a dollar less than similar products at Lowe's or HD. Online reviews seem pretty positive but I thought I'd check here before I gave it a try, because what fool wouldn't check here first?

If you want to check flooring at NFM just south of Hickman, west of 86th, I can get you contractor pricing (I make no money). I am heading for Canada first thing in the morning and will be back the 19th. If interested PM me. Most likely you could get very good flooring at a significant savings.

In case anyone is interested, I ended up going with the Traditional Living brand flooring from Sam's Club and it was fantastic to work with and I am extremely satisfied with the finished product.

Did you put this on a wood subfloor or on concrete? Thinking of doing some flooring at my place, but I'll be going on top of concrete, so I'll need moisture barrier, etc to go along with it.

Thanks for the update. We were at Sams on Saturday and I was wondering how this turned out.

It went on a wood subfloor. There were instructions on the box for concrete installation so it can be done but they recommended getting a moisture meter and doing a bunch of testing first.

Re: Traditional Living brand flooring at Sam's Club

I put this in our kitchen, dining room, and laundry room/mud room about three years ago. I also put it in my mom's house about a year ago. So far, so good - have been happy with it.

I ordered a color for my house they don't carry in the stores. The invoice on the shipment was from the Pergo factory in NC.

Meh, my slab was poured 9 years ago, should be dry enough.
