Good read, but he also sounds arrogant.
I'd love to read a book like that and recall some of my childhood. I haven't seen rasslin' since the late 90's so I have no idea who the new guys are.

yes he does. I'm just glad a wrestler I followed when I was younger is still alive and doing well. Unfortunately, that's pretty rare.

Nice read. Cool to read he was Super Shredder in the old school TMNT movie. He was a talent, but he and several others are responsible for the death of WCW which IMO killed wrestling. With no competition to go up against (and before anyone says anything TNA is NOT legitimate competition) WWE went PG and now we have the crap we have today.

I don't think that was it. PG came after Chris Benoit killed his family.

He's right about Heat nd how everybody roots for the bad guy. I've seen it over 20 times and it kills me every time when DeNiro turns around to go back after Waingro

WWE is hit and miss anymore IMO. i don't think anything they can do now will ever compare to the attitude era and the "monday night wars".

Re: Kevin Nash - Grantland article

i totally agree with him on the current top wrestlers not being "larger than life".

"They are not bigger than life," he says. "I bet they could both walk through airports and not be noticed unless they have a gimmick shirt on and the belt." (referring to YES YES YES and punk

he might mean size, but IMO it's more than that.

the guys at the top right now, aside from cena, couldn't even tie the shoes of Nash, Stone cold, Rock, HBK, Hogan, wooooooooo, etc. HHH is still there but he plays a very small roll compared to what he once did. That's exactly why every month it seems like they bring another old timer out there for the nostalgia of 10 years ago.
