Re: Lenz, young WR's ready to shine

I know other folks have said this too, but I absolutely love to see that guys like Bundrage and West have beat out Horne for starting spots. I have nothing against Horne. I think he's actually pretty good, which is why it's all the more impressive to know that these young guys have edged him for the top spots. That speaks volumes to me, and gives me a lot of optimism at the WR position.

I love all this football content. I feel like Homer eating donuts in this episode.

I really hope so... it just feels that our WR group has been very disappointing over the past few years. Hopefully someone will stretch the field.

Re: Lenz, young WR's ready to shine

Totally forgot Josh was a senior. Hope the young guys do soak it up. He's a great player and person.

I want to see more of Jarvis West!

It'll be interesting to see if Tiller becomes a big threat. If he can do what Austin Flynn did with those inside slants and middle routes, I'll have a lot of respect for him.

I don't mean to rain on your parade but I will be shocked if either of those guys is better than Horne this year. Horne dropped some balls he shouldn't have but he still was the best receiver after the catch by quite a bit.

Guessing he isn't first team due to injury, notice the blue jersey on him. I like west too but he sometimes takes too long getting north and south.

    Well see about bunderage.

No, it hasn't felt that way, it was that way. We had Darius "Drops", Sedrick "shoulda gone to A&M" Johnson, and Darius "Spare Change" Reynolds.

Only kidding with the nicknames, but our receiving corps since Blythe left has been down. We had the occasional hard worker/good effort types pf players who made good catches from time to time, but really no one that could make DB's look bad on a regular basis.

Re: Lenz, young WR's ready to shine

Run game and simplified offense will help these guys a lot. The defense will have to play up and that should result in more green space for them to get open in. Picking up 3 to 5 yards on 1st down will take a lot of pressure of these young guys.

Maybe that had something to do with those delivering the ball too? Its not like we've had pinpoint accuracy back there. Can't just put the blame at one end is all I am saying.
