Where do we stand with Pelle

The last I heard was we were to hear about his playing status sometime in August. I believe we still have one scholarship open for this upcoming season. Pelle's highlight tape was pretty impressive and It would be great to have a kelvin Cato type player for 4 years. I would appreciate any updates or a time table on when and if he can join our team.

I didn't think he was going to qualify academically.

Yeah... it's not going to happen.
I don't think he has even made a visit to campus yet.

Re: Where do we stand with Pelle

His latest update as of last week indicated he was interested in the following schools: San Diego State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, UTEP, DePaul, Rhode Island, and Iona.

    Cross him off your list...

And another thing. If he wanted to be somewhere, he would be. Uncommitted kid with natural talent with apparently no work ethic

I'm personally about 11 inches shorter than Pelle.

The dude was originally the number 1 center of the 2011 class. If he wanted to play college ball he could've been.

In other words, you're making assumptions.

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.
    (They just disappear offseason)

Re: Where do we stand with Pelle

Read between the lines. All he had to do was get cleared while he was at prep school for a guaranteed scholarship and a strong chance to play in the NBA a year later and the kid couldn't do it.

His maturity level is probably pretty low. That is a pretty safe assumption

You do realize to get to being a "5-star" the kid had to work pretty hard to get to that level, right? He's not born into that without lots of gym time...
