I'm not sure I can take any list serious that mentions Nebraska's commitment to basketball.

I love HP, but saying it's "one of America’s top barbecue joints" is a bit too much.

Oh I totally agree. It's just predictable that whenever someone mentions Hickory Park on here that people will complain about it.

While in talent and fan committment, Nebraska has a long ways to go. Nothing says this more than having their basketball arena named after a football coach. However, for the first time, I will say that the school is finally making a committment to basketball in the financial department. There is no denying that they have just invested a crap ton of money into their basketball facilities. Their new arena is going to be sweet and their new practice facillity is going to be pretty ridiculous. You should take a look at a few of the videos. They are literally going to go from one of the worst set of facilities to one of the best. The question is whether finally throwing money at a program will be enough to make it better. I have my skepticism.

Agreed. Its good food, and great because its cheap... but 'top barbecue' it is not.

I should say in full disclosure that I am married to a Cornhusker grad, which I know is terrible. However, I do probably get more of an inside look into their program than the average ISU fan. Please don't shun me though. I am still not a Husker fan.

Another agree from me. Arguably one of the best barbeque bargains out there, but not one of the best overall barbeque restaurants.

Exactly. Anyone that thinks Hickory Park is one of the top barbecue restaurants in America obviously hasn't been to Kansas City.
