Mine did that one day, IIRC just let it sit for like 3 days and it was fine.

Why do you need a 250 gb harddrive, not being a dick just legitimately curious.

yes and unless it happens once then you reboot it and it's fine then it's probably screwed.

Installing games (for better performance), DLC, etc.. you can burn through HD space pretty quick

    kiss it good bye

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

Well on the newest systems it is a red dot instead of the red ring.

I didn't look to hard but I am sure someone came up with some things that you can try. You might just need to let it sit and possibly try to clean it off.

You're now the proud owner of a 250 GB door stop. Or paper weight. Or boat anchor.

This. Some games actually recommend that you install them for the best performance. They are usually between 5 and 7 GB. You can also download full games from Xbox Live, and they can be even bigger than that. They removed the size limit on downloadable games as well, so it's not uncommon to see them over a GB. Not to mention DLC, demos, vids, and apps.

I have a 250GB machine and currently have about 100GB free. I try to keep it cleaned up, but it's easy to fill space if you just let it go.
