Is this the worst Rendition of the National Anthem ever?

You'd think somebody would have told her she isn't very good.

Yes, stupid people like that are ruining the anthem. Sing the damn song the way it's supposed to be, it isn't about you.

Re: Is this the worst Rendition of the National Anthem ever?

Back when I played HS baseball (and still today at I-Cubs games) me and the rest of my infield would bet money on how long the national anthem would be that game.

None of us would've been close here.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

    Carl Lewis begs to differ.

But what I heard from this was pretty bad. I turned it off after "what so proudly we hailed"

If you strain a little, I think there might be a good voice hiding in there somewhere. She needs someone to give her lessons and tell her to cut out the theatrics.

To answer the question, Rosanne's version was worse because it was intentionally bad. This girl at least seems to be sincere.

Re: Is this the worst Rendition of the National Anthem ever?

I don't think she is a terrible singer - I think she has "potential" if she works on it. However, the song shouldn't have been nearly 3 minutes and her voice cracked a few times. Can't hit those high or low notes.

"So will she be going to Hollywood?"

Sorry, Harper, I'm going to have to say no.

"Ok, that is one no, she needs these two yes's to advance, CF, what's your call?"

Ugh, whoever let her sing that should be shot.

I've tried, but I can't bear listening to the whole thing. Three times now after screwing up my courage to listen again, I've clicked the stop button each time.

Is this the girl that's 11? I won't rip on a kid. Whoever trained her to sing that song however . . . .
