    Ankeny area tracks?

I'm looking for a track in the Ankeny area to run on. When I drive past the high schools it looked like they were locked up. Does anyone know where I can find a track open to the public?

    Re: Ankeny area tracks?

I do my interval training at the track at the jr high football field on the south side of Prairie Ridge sports complex. Its a concrete track so it can be a little hard on the legs, but its all marked so you can easily monitor distances

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

The junior high one is open for public use. The high school tracks (both at AHS & Northview) are not. He's right, it's concrete, but it is open.

That's what I was looking for. I'd really like to stay off the cement but it'll do. Thanks

If you don't want to run in circles the bike trail (asphalt) starts at the fire station and goes NW out of town
