How are we not top 10 recruiting?

Not that it really matters but we seem to be better then a couple of these teams so far.

If you ask the basketball analysts outside the state of Iowa I think you would be surprised to hear their responses. Iowa was pegged as a preseason top 5 team by one ESPN analyst and is ranked in the vast, vast majority of preseason top 25 polls

You could make a case for us to be ahead of BYU but their 4 commitments to our 2 is what put them ahead of us. Alabama deserves their ranking.

Re: How are we not top 10 recruiting?

I was in complete agreement. Then I looked at ESPN Basketball Recruiting - Player Rankings - ESPN. Two top 100 guys (at 83 and 94) and we're probably not even close to the top 10. Maybe inside the top 25. Look at the lists for the top 20 that are still available, we're on none of those. I don't know of any other ESPN top 100 guys we're in on and/or have a chance at getting.

I think 2013 will be a rock solid class, and only up from there!

ESPN is a big group of morons, They also have us 9th in the big 12 power rankings pre season. In my mind id say we are 4th and could be a sleeper to contend for 1st or 2nd but ofcourse i like us being underestimated......AGAIN.

I'll worry about this (only a little) when our class is filled out.

Re: How are we not top 10 recruiting?

ISU should definitely be rated ahead of BYU. One ranked guy and three guys that haven't even been rated should be below ISU's two top 100 guys. When all is said and done though I anticipate them ranked ahead of BYU unless they get Jabari Parker

One of BYU's non-rated guys will be top 100 very soon. He's been tearing it up. We are probably barely outside the top 10.

Re: How are we not top 10 recruiting?

I get the whole who cares attitude, but positive press and mentions on the recruiting trail can only help with new recruits.

Two guys in the 90s does not deserve a top 10 ranking.

We were 8th in that same poll some time in the past couple weeks.
