    Big 12 Predictions

With the media poll out, I went through each teams schedule game by game. Pretty interesting when you factor in game locations, but I came up with the following...

    OU (8-1) Loss @WV
    WV (7-2) Loses @UT & @OSU
    OSU (6-3) Loses @KSU, @OU, & @ Baylor
    UT (6-3) Loses @OSU, OU, & @KSU
    Baylor (5-4) Loses @WV, @UT, @ISU, & @OU
TCU (4-5) Wins @KU, ISU, Tech & KSU
ISU (4-5) Wins Tech, KSU, Baylor & @KU
KSU (4-5) Wins KU, Tech, OSU, & UT
    Tech (1-8) Wins KU
    KU (0-9)

Iowa shouldn't have lost to ISU last year with that line of thinking.

Also, its been 6 straight years.

You really think baylor has the horses to beat Osu even when they had rg3 they were behind 49-0 at one point last yr!!

I think both teams will take a step back next season. I simply went off the talent I think teams will have, the talent the media/others think the teams will have, and where the games are played. I think the fact the game is in Waco gives Baylor the advantage.

I typically don't look at what happened x number of years ago when it comes to sports. 95% of the time, teams are different each year.

Sounds about right; 6 or 7 wins.

I haven't had a chance to go game-by-game with each schedule (yet) ... yours looks fairly convincing.

    So at quick glance:

You're bucking the trend by having TCU below .500 seems to be a sexy pick to have Frogs around 6-3. I tend to agree with your analysis on that one.

Even though it's due to home field advantage, probably, I'd be surprised if OSU beats Texas but loses to Baylor.

Hunch: KU will probably win at least 1 game, and I hope it isn't vs. ISU ... Jayhawks face about the worst setup of home/road any lower-division team could have (most winnable games away; home games vs. toughies). Oh-fer is certainly possible.

Also agree with a lot of clustering near the middle.

    My pre-August finish (without records)
    1. OU
    2. UT
    3. WVa
    4. OSU
    5. KSU
    6. ISU
    7. Baylor
    8. TCU
    9. Tech
    10. KU

Kansas isn't even going to win a cupcake game or is this just conference games.

Just conference games. But the op has tech and Kansas playing 1 more than the rest. Should be 1-8 and 0-9 I assume, but who's counting?

    Yeah I fixed that...sorry!

Kansas is on the 4 Big 12 home games cycle this year, against TCU, OSU, Texas, and ISU. I don't see them going on the road and winning anything. TCU is their third game of the season so I think that's a little too early for a win. OSU and Texas shouldnt have a problem with them. I refuse to even acknowledge they could beat ISU, but it may be their best chance at a conference win.
