Best Thing I ever ate- Entree'

Not sure how much I will be around computer tomorrow so I wanted to get this started today. Last weeks thread on Sandwiches was outstanding. Today, lets stay with main courses and go to non-sandwich entrees.

    So far we've had
    Appetizers
    Drinks
    Sandwiches

    Others I'll eventually get to-
    Breakfast
    Desert
    Side Dish
    Fast Food Item
    Tailgate Food
    Homemade

Pictures are a huge plus.- One of my favorites, the crown prime at Jack Stack.

Niemann Ranch chop at Django's might be one of the best things I've ever tasted
    Also, from the "WTF" category-
Chicken Critters from Texas Roadhouse (The only thing they have there that I can't find better somewhere else)

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

I know it's not outrageous or anything like that, but I absolutely love the alfredo ravioli that they have at lunch at Olde Main. Their alfredo sauce is amazing. (A good pasta dish is usually my favorite food.)

I miss the chicken curry at Cafe Shi. That was our go-to celebratory dinner place for so many reasons, the main one of which for me was the chicken curry with coconut milk.

We were in Tampa for work once, and we went to AJ's, I think. My husband got an amazing steak with a peppercorn crust, and I had to steal a whole bunch of it:

    "Desert" should be interesting.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Re: Best Thing I ever ate- Entree'

I can't do pics on my stupid phone, but I'll still discuss.

I can't choose between the two, so I've got two. First would be the Kahlua pork nachos at Ola's in Kahuku, HI. It's the traditional luau pork, shredded and served ontop of hand-made crisp pita nachos with plum sauce, guac, and goat cheese.

The other would be a good ole burger at Bubs Burger in Carmel, IN. It's just a really, really well-made burger. Nothing fancy. That Adam(?) guy from Man vs. Food did a challenge there (and lost the challenge).

I don't eat meat anymore, but when I made that decision, I specifically left these two things as the exception so I can eat them if I'm ever there.

Re: Best Thing I ever ate- Entree'

Fish Tacos at Baja Cantina Dockside, located in the marina at Cabo.

Boat backed up to the Cantina about 10 feet from our table, cleaned the fish right in front of me and brought the filets into the bar and made the tacos as well as some other entrees for my wife and I. Had that every day while in Cabo (though some weren't from fish 10 minutes off the boat) and still dream about it. Still look back and realize how good of a decision to not do all inclusive was, if we had we would have never gone to this place. Plus just opening a tab at the resort and drinking and eating as much as we wanted was still half the price of all inclusive.

I had lobster, fresh veggies, and rice stir fry at this bar in Jamaica:

The cook took a boat out and fished the lobsters out of a trap about 20 min before cooking them. He also added some fish that he caught over the side of the bar when he was warming up the grill.

Re: Best Thing I ever ate- Entree'

When I was in Philly for work, we broke off one day to do touristy stuff - namely, check out the Liberty Bell and Constitution Hall. We caught a whiff of something tasty, which led us to LaScala's, just down the street.

The featured entree was 2 filet's (company card FTW). One filet was topped with a crab mixture and the other was topped with a mushroom mixture. Both were phenomenal. It was the kind of meal you ate and afterwards, you could taste the food a bit when you burped...so you kept hoping you would burp! I know that sounds gross, but those steaks were far and away the best I've had.

I will second this. I think I had this last fall and I left thinking it was some of the best meat I have ever had.
