    Car is leaking brake fluid

I have an 03 kia spectra and over the past few months it has been leaking brake fluid. It seems to be slowly leaking and every 2 weeks or so the brake light comes on so I just refill it and go on my way. I am thinking its the brake proportioning value and looking to getting it fixed this weekend. Anyone have a similar problem and how much it costs to repair?

I had a leaking brake line. My want to find the leak and go from there.

Re: Car is leaking brake fluid

If it's leaking enough that you have to add fluid every other week, there has to be some visible dripping. Brake systems are not terribly complex; follow the drips, find the leak.

Without knowing anything else about it, I'd be surprised if the lines themselves were shot on an 03 unless it has huge miles or has suffered tremendous neglect.

Take it to Wheelock Repair, 620 E Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa 50010
Phone (515) 233-3035. He is honest and very reasonable when it comes to price.
