    Lunch at Work

For you full-time people. What do you typically do for lunch? Do you go out or bring your lunch more often?

Do you eat at your desk or break room?

Just curious as I run out of ideas for lunch quite often.

Well when I worked full time for a while, we literally went out every day. The whole department (3 then eventually 4 people) so if we were ever late it didn't matter because my boss was right there... sometimes we would have a 2-3 hour lunch that was paid

    Re: Lunch at Work

I usually bring a sandwhich or left overs from dinner. I probably bring a sandwhich more often though. I try to go out to eat once a week with co-workers.

One thing I try to do, is when I cook dinner, I will cook 3-4 chicken/pork/beef with the idea that I can make something else with it later in the week or use it for lunch.

    Re: Lunch at Work

My husband and I take our own lunch 95% of the time. Saves money and calories!

We try to make things that give us leftovers for a couple days or keep lunch meat on hand.

My husband can eat the same lunch for months on end, but I get bored. I try to switch it up taking different snacks with whatever the main leftover is - string cheese, cottage cheese, fruit, cut up veggies-helps keep a little variety.

ETA: I usually eat at my desk. Internet access.

I'm probably more in the 75% range take to work, although there are weeks when I won't bring my lunch at all. Usually it's either leftovers and a box of frozen veggies or a sandwich and a soup.

Take my lunch 95% of the time. Leftovers from the night before usually. Usually each at my desk and read Cyclone Fanatic! :)

I always run home for lunch. I know people that go out to eat basically every day, has to be expensive.

For me it really depends. I work construction and I dont mind bringing my lunch but in the winter I find myself eating out more for a hot meal.

don't get into a habit with going out to lunch everyday with a group that does that. Usually 20 lbs overweight type people

I'm a property manager and one of my tenants is a Chinese restaurant. They always feed me. If I don't want it, I either bring something or go to another place close by.

    Re: Lunch at Work

Used to bring my lunch when I was in a social group who would eat in a conference room and play dominoes over lunch. Then I moved and now people go out to socialize at lunch.

    Re: Lunch at Work

I used to eat at my desk 4 days a week but now I have been eating out 4 days a week.

I just do not like eating at my desk, and we do not really have any other good place to sit.
