That thing is pretty cool looking, they should roll it out at half time of a football game...as long as it's not too cloudy I guess ;-)

I agree. It's gorgeous and should have won a trophy for beauty in addition to it's other trophies.

The car design has changed so much through the years. I really like this model. I remember years ago when the race came through Ames. It was amazing to see the different designs of cars. Congratulations to the team!!

    Re: ISU Solar Car Team

I think this reflects well on the strength of our Eng programs. Nice finish.

A few observations from the photo's:

    - Michigan program has mucho $ resources backing it looking at their equipment and hauler.
    - I'm surprised by one results board photo that MIT entry did so poorly.
    - Looking at on-coming photo of ISU vehicle, that thing can't handle that well on turns.

I remember when it went through Ames back in the early 90's. I parked out north of Ames. I think the intersection of Dayton Road and E29 and watched as the cars went by.
I'm pretty sure I still have pictures of the ISU car from that year.

Here's a very good video of the car in action. Looks like it turns surprisingly well.
