#2 Recruit in the nation switches commitment from Bama to Auburn

Reuben Foster is now headed to Auburn. I wonder how big of a check Chiz had to write him for this change of heart? My guess is bigger than the one they gave Scam Newton.

Living in Alabama allows me to watch the Alabama/Auburn wars first hand. Pretty entertaining actually. Bammers are convinced though Saban can get any recruit he truly wants.

The recruit was afraid Sabans daughter would beat him up.

I can't imagine what their boards, talk radio, etc do in reaction to this.

Oh, I know what the reaction is "War Eagle!" then "roll-damn-tide" etc. someone better get on tree watch soon.

It's pretty obvious what happened here. Saben took the interstate and Chiz took the backroads. While Saben got there first, Chiz got much better gas millage and his gas tank lasted longer.

Exactly. If you get a chance, tune in the Paul Finebaum radio show some weekday afternoon (2-6 cst). Sirius/XM carries the program also. Some pretty funny callers. Warning though, not high-brow entertainment.

So does he have to return the check from Alabama? I'm not really up on the SEC recruiting etiquette. I assume this is similar to the NBA free agent negotiations where Alabama can and will match Auburn's offer. But can a recruit just keep taking the bags of cash from both sides?

Was he quoted saying he was "firmly entrenched?" If so, i think i can make light of this situation.
