    Lucid Dreams

Have you ever been able to control your own dreams? Lucid dreaming is being aware that you are dreaming and then taking control of that dream to do just about whatever you want.

I have been able to do this a few times but forgot about it until this morning when I had a really long, vivid dream that lasted through several sleep-waking up periods and then discovered this webpage and new product: Remee. The Remee is a really novel product/concept that blinks LED lights that you should notice while dreaming, helping you to become aware that you are dreaming to induce lucid dreams.

So, have you ever heard of lucid dreams? Ever tried it? Are you good at it? Do you have any lucid dreams you can share? Any tips to help others who want to try it?

I have been able to do it a few times... For some reason I usually end up telling other people in my dreams that I know I'm dreaming lol

The beta blockers I'm on now for migraines cause very lucid dreams. One of the main side effects is terrifying lucid dreams x).

    Re: Lucid Dreams

I can do this quite a bit. I read into it a couple of years ago and this is the one trick that I took away that works for me.

    Wake up, look at clock

Look away and look back at the same clock

If you are dreaming the numbers will be different

    Now control away

I can't control every aspect of my dreams but sometimes I can control most of it. Pretty cool to be able to do (I only semi realize that I am dreaming). When I finally realize fully that I am dreaming I usually wake up.

To be honest, I've controlled them before and I typically sleep with the chick that's in the dream and completely forget her name, but I always remember her face.

Problem anymore is that when I figure out Im dreaming my dreams lose their fantasy element. My dream becomes more reality based and boring.

    Re: Lucid Dreams

I can usually realize when I am dreaming. I have controlled a couple of dreams in the past and I can wake myself whenever. Lately however I have been having some inception style dreams... dreams in which I am dreaming. That is trippy when waking up.

    Re: Lucid Dreams

For many years in my dreams I had the ability to fly. The weird part of it was that the only way I could fly is if I was kicking my legs like I was riding a bike. I mean this would happen up into my college years. Eventually I figured out why that was. I was watching ET some years ago and when ET took the kids up in the sky on their bikes, they were still pedaling while they were flying. Dawned on me, subconsciously thats where I picked up and applied it. Ever since I figured that out, I dont do it anymore.

    Re: Lucid Dreams

Can't say I have ever heard the term "Lucid Dream" but there are times when I wake up from an extremely vivid dream and can just lie back, shut my eyes and go right back into it.
One common theme in many of my dreams is trying to run or walk and your legs are like lead. (pretty common with many people)
Another is I always end up in a car/truck coasting in reverse extremely slowly yet no matter how hard I press on the brake it just won't stop.

Some times I have recurring dreams for a period of time. Most recently I would be in the car in reverse and somehow I would always end up in the parking garage at Arrowhead Stadium. Not sure where my brain came up with that one.

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.

There is no parking garage at Arrowhead.
