Finally CW....this has been my point of view the entire time. It's a team sport. The OC is the engineer, the QB is the conductor, and the rest of the offense is the engine. All three are equally as important for the cy-train to reach the mountain top! Thanks for your insight.

yep watch this week we will end up with around 5 football commits, 2 bball, and an espy

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I'll be "that guy." The Big 12 should only take Notre Dame as a full member.

how's that partial membership thing working out for the big east? if notre dame is the badass proclaimed in the article i would think the big east would be THE conference to be in, just because they're graced by ND's occasional presence

I fail to see how 1-2 football games a year on big 12 networks and the rest of the olympic sports will be a great financial advantage for the big 12.

Re: Monday Musings: New perspective on the QB competition & more

I also don't see the benefit in a partial membership for Notre Dame. That hasn't worked out for the Big East in terms of giving them stature or a big financial windfall. No reason to think that the same deal will provide something better for the Big 12.

People keep saying that Notre Dame will be forced into a conference. How is that going to happen when they are invited to all of the important meetings at the same level as a conference commissioner. Nobody is going to be the guy that tells Notre Dame that they don't sit at the big boy table anymore.

I don't see Notre Dame joining any conference as a full member. I don't see the point in partial membership. I would say that a partial membership would be a terrible idea.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

I get the point that ND is a big dog and alll, but...what about the can of worms that could be opened after 6 years (or however many years all 11 institutions would give their grant of rights to the Big12) as Texas could see how well it works for ND, so now they want to be independent in Football. Since we catered to ND we should do the same for others in the league... (see what I did there!)

Although, I would love it if we could get back to 12 teams so that our name isn't as stupid as the Big 10 with 12 teams...
