    4th of July Traditions

I'm sitting here on fanatic because I have to work in the early morning, but excited to get off work tomorrow at noon and head out onto West Lake Okoboji for the 4th and I realized that every 4th of July in memory has been spent the exact same way. On West Boji in Millers Bay with friends and family. Later there will be yard games before heading back out onto the lake for the fireworks.

I never realized how much of a tradition it is for me, so the question and out of curiosity.. what are your 4th of July traditions?

Drinking copious amounts of beer, though that happens during normal days too. Probably grilling with family.

So I feel like im the old scrooge in our neighborhood. I have 2 houses that seem to be having a battle and between the city fireworks and these guys, I have been hearing explosions for the last hour and a half straight. And come to find out both of my dogs are not fans of these loud explosions. So its been an hour of complete hell dealing with em.

Deal with it....you and the other guy both. Maybe I'm a jerk, but it is the 4th of July and there are going to be fireworks and maybe your kids won't go to bed early. I know there are ramifications, but it is the 4th of July, and I think people need to lighten up a little.

(and or the record, I am sitting in my Boston apartment and haven't ignited any fireworks, so I am not trying to cover my own ***)

    Re: 4th of July Traditions

As of next year I might be shooting fireworks off with my dad. Not the illegal kind that you get in either Missouri or Wisconsin, but the kind that cities spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to shoot off at a city park and thousands upon thousands of people show up to watch the spectacle.

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

For your information I did deal with it. If I wanted to be a dick, I would of called them in but I let them have there fun. And my guess is you don't have children, so you shouldn't jump others peoples case and tell them to deal with it.
