that's too bad. The Andy Griffith show always reminds me of my father.

Classic show. Reminds me of a simpler time. Watched that show every day after school on KIMT out of Mason City. Still catch an episode now and then and get a good laugh.

That is too bad, but I'm not looking forward to 50% of my facebook friends instantly becoming huge Andy Griffith fans just so they have something to post.

I used to watch reruns at my grandparents and Matlock at baby sitters. That's to bad. All the old guard are on the way out.

I watched the same thing with my dad. Only the black and white episodes, though. My father thought the colorized episodes were terrible.

Am I the only one who will now be constantly whistling the theme from the show the rest of the day?

To bad. Pretty sure if I could do it all over again I would want to grow up in a town Like Mayberry where it's simple. No technology or any of that. Guys like Andy and the rest. Rip

I loved the Andy Griffith show growing up. We used to watch it on TBS all of the time.

Sadly, here's the first thing I though of:

Agreed. Was Barney around in the "coloreds"? Also I think most of the coloreds had Andy dating someone which took away some of the uniqueness of him being a single dad.

KIMT had a commercial that the words were based on Andy Griffith Show to the tune of "We Didn't start the fire"
    I remember most of them

wow. Good job, sir. I never would have remembered the words, but I totally remember the commercial.

"We love Barney Fife" was the chorus, if I remember.

This sucks. I've seen just about every episode of Matlock and most of them twice.
