    World Travels/Study Abroad

I'm thinking about studying abroad spring 2013 or the following fall semester. I have no idea where to go and would probably love anywhere.

So where was the favorite place you've traveled to or study abroad?

    My teams: (as of 6/15/14)
    Cleveland Browns: 4-12 - .250
    Cleveland Indians: 34-35 - .493
    Cleveland Cavs: 33-49 - .402
    Iowa State Cyclones (FB): 3-9 - .250
    Iowa State Cyclones (BB): 28-8 - .778

Did a travel course England/Scotland a couple years ago (for about two weeks) loved it. Never quite wanted to study abroad, but would definitely recommend doing as many travel courses as you could afford.

Learn a second language... Germany or Spain would have been awesome. I really enjoy traveling there.

I spent a spring semester in the Netherlands and it was fantastic. I also really liked travelling in Germany and Scandinavia while I was there.

I studied in Newcastle, Australia. Loved every minute of it. ISU has a good program there too.

    Re: World Travels/Study Abroad

Did Italy for 6 months... Awesome experience but doubled my student debt at ISU in one semester. I personally don't regret it because I was employed (after grad school) and not desperately seeking a job while living with my parents. It's really the only time to do it, but make sure you're aware of the financial ramifications.

I lived with 5 other people in an apt on Pacific Street. Just down the road from the hostel. That lasted about two weeks, until we were "asked to leave". Neighbors upstairs would complain if we had our tv on after nine oclock. Anyway it was for the best as we moved to a house on Bruce Street. Much bigger and cheaper rent. Only downside was we had a 15 minute walk to the beach as opposed to falling out or front door onto the beach on Pacific.

    Where did you live?

    Re: World Travels/Study Abroad

Do it! This is something that is an amazing experience.
I went to England for two weeks, it was beautiful but very expensive. At first I was shaky on whether I really wanted to go but now that I have went I wish I would have went for a whole semester...I am now looking to go abroad as soon as I can and potentially looking for a short job just to experience another country and culture.
