    Deadliest Catch 2012

I used to kind of find myself rooting for Elliott. The youngest captain, trying to win the respect of his crew and his peers. But now after the incident with him setting almost on top of Junior's pots and all this crap with his baby mama, I just think he's a weasily little weenie pants.

"Will you be my Valentine? What? You're seeing someone else?"

    Hahahahahahahaha.

He's just a terrible captain and doesn't deserve a job at this point. I don't know the exact point at which I decided I hate him, but it was sometime during him not catching any crab and wondering why his crew hated him.

I love seeing the smarter guys (Jr., Sig, Keith, Wild Bill, Hillstrands) pulling waves of crab over the rail and then they cut to this idiot and he's got nothing. I'm happy that his right hand dude Kato is now going to make some money.

The only person I like seeing fail more than Elliot is Keith of the Wizard.

Keith is annoying and over reacts all the time, but he's not nearly as incompetent as Elliott. It was funny how Elliott shut up when they had the owner of his boat on "After the Catch".

They sure go to a lot of trouble to catch crabs. I'd hit a whorehouse in Dutch Harbor and call it good.

I don't regularly watch the show, so I haven't seen a whole lot this season, but I don't think I ever liked Elliot. That guy is terrible. I know it's tough to be a young captain on your first gig, but damn, he sets the bar pretty low.

    Re: Deadliest Catch 2012

Not a fan of Elliot's. He's just a terrible captain and I don't give a crap about his relationship with his ex gf.

Junior is an arrogant tool. He's not near as good as he thinks he is.

I like the other captains. The Wizard is good entertainment because it never fails that the greenhorn they hire won't last the season, although the replacement this year seems to be doing very well so far.

Jake Harris is worthless. I loved watching his dad and his brother seems like a decent guy.

    Re: Deadliest Catch 2012

Elliot doesn't seem to have the chops as a captain. He'd probably be good on the deck, and has great engineer skills. He doesn't seem to have a good handle on where to drop pots though, which seems to be the most important job of the guy sitting in the wheel house.

I root for the Northwestern and the Time Bandit. I find myself rooting for Edgar to get more wheel time from Sig and share the wheel house like John & Andy on the Time Bandit. I think the Hansen brothers bickering in the wheel house might be good TV.

Yeah, I've always wondered a bit about the Sig and Edgar dynamic. Edgar always gets stuck on deck, while Sig is always in the wheelhouse. How did they determine that?

I agree that Keith isn't incompetent like Elliott. Keith is one of those guys who is probably a little ***** in real life, and compensates for it for being the tough guy and all around ******* on the boat.

I also think people need to realize that we are watching the highlights of a guy who has been sitting in a chair navigating a boat through the roughest waters in the ocean for about 20 straight hours. I mean, i get a short fuse when driving in heavy traffic. Not to mention while driving, he has to find crab, and watch out for the lives of his crew.
