For instance, Taco Tech, K-State, and West Virginia are probably as bad if not worse than anything the SEC has to offer.
My point was that I think, academically, UNC would rather run with schools like Michigan, Northwestern, Virginia (if it happens), Wisconsin, Illinois, Penn St. I know realignment is about TV markets and athletic dollars, but academics and academic reputation is a big-time concern to a lot of alums and donors. Maybe 'cesspool' is a bit strong, but the SEC isn't close and UNC just would seem like a strange fit.

I have no idea how reputable this is, but Louisville would be a shock to me. LOL at UConn getting jilted twice; it'll be interesting how far they'll spread their legs after being spurned this time.

Go ahead, give in to your inner urges and list Iowa among them. We all know you're thinking it...might as well say it, too

My gut says, ACC is trying to bulk up to become supreme basketball conference (supplanting Big East in that regard) while maintaining as much football relevance as possible (that is, no worse than current status). Possibly, possibly massaging ND as all-sport member down the line.

ACC can part with Maryland and pick up Lou-uh-vul as equal trade-off (and possibly expand regional TV-reach).

Not s great move by Louisville unless the ACC gets a tv deal increase or they all sign a GoR. They still make far less than everyone else, i don't se how this would keep anyone from leaving got another conference.

Pat Forde just tweeted that UL to the ACC is a done deal and will be posting a story in a few minutes with details. Does this satisfy FSU & Clemson?

Until the Big 10 acts, expansion is dead.
And here I thought it would only be "a matter of days" until the ACC crumbled

I think the big 12 made a mistake by not adding louisville. I can' really support that with hard facts but I think we will regret it in the long run. Louisville seemed like it would have fit well in our league. i'm worried about WVU being on an island.

I personally would have rather had Louisville than TCU.
