    Coach Rhoads last night

    Was the keynote speaker at the Ed Thomas Family Foundation Celebrity Golf Outing banquet. I did not attend this year but have heard from several who did and it is fun reading the tweets-

    The first from a hawk fan buddy of mine- grettig I'm #All In with Coach Rhoads. The man has Passion and is a class act.#ETFF #ThingsHawksCantTweet

    Great banquet tonight for @EdThomasFF. Coach Rhoades was phenomenal

    @martytirrell
    Paul Rhoads speech last night an ALL-TIMER! It was THAT GREAT! Ed Thomas Family Foundation Night. Many moved to tears - incredible!

    @martytirrell
    Who knew what Coach Rhoads told Jaime Pollard to cement his hiring? Who knew what Ed Thomas did ever do quietly...many times

    @JWcyclonestv
    At great event for the Ed Thomas Family Foundation. Paul Rhoads gave incredibly inspiring speech.

    Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

    One more from a big time hawk fan-
    Listened to Paul Rhoads Speak for 25 minutes. He spoke about "passion" & doing things the "right way" which is what coach Ed Thomas always preached. He is one dynamic speaker.

    I saw the retweet from Marty. It would be very cool if it's online somewhere.

    I would like to know as well

    Hilton Coliseum was specifically built to hold in sound with a solid concrete structure, steel doors, and a crowd that sits just a few feet from the court. With a fan base that frequently ranks among the nations largest crowds, players from opposing teams, as well as Iowa State, have said that the floor has shaken due to the loudness of the crowd

    Re: Coach Rhoads last night

    probably ended with "I could not be prouder. I am SO PROUD to be your speaker!" Nobody heard it, of course, because they were already cheering wildly for the facial hair for the past thirty minutes.

    But seriously, from back in 2009: http://espn.go.com/blog/big12/post/_...s-of-ed-thomas
