    Playing with Pros in CCL?

This is probably a very stupid question...

Why are ISU players allowed to play with Craig Brackins and RW in the CCL? This doesn't violate any NCAA rules?

Ok for current players. Maybe not for recruits though. I remember reading something about Harrison Barnes going to some kind of exhibition game at UNC when he was a recruit and getting to meet Michael Jordan, but I'm pretty sure Barnes didn't play in the game.

Since they're not getting paid I assume it's okay. NCAA won't care unless it's ISU they play for. Wait.......

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

It's just a summer league. For all we know they could be doing the same thing on their personal time right?

With Craig in Ames for the month, I've always assumed that they have been.

I figured because it was some sort of league that is "open" to people in the community, the coaches don't coach a team so they don't have any contact, players are not paid, and I don't believe admission is charged for people to watch.

No money or gifts involved, so this makes it fine. Kyle Korver has played in the past, these type of games happen all over the country.

My father told me no question is a stupid question if you don't know the answer to it, so here goes:

Are the ISU coaches allowed to attend the games?

I don't believe so. Summer contact rules have changed but I still believe they can't.
