What type of person is worse?

The type that always asks you how much you paid for something, or the type that always tells you how much they paid for something?

I only ask because I have a neighbor that does both.

Re: What type of person is worse?

I dislike both but the person that asks me what I paid for something is more annoying.

I don't see why either would be a problem

I think we have the same neighbor. I get more annoyed with the guy who tells you what he paid for everything.

In my 35 years, I have never had to live in proximity of one of these types of individuals. Sure, I've had small conversations with people over the years that involved the same inquiries, but never anybody that makes it a part of every conversation.

Me neither. Only reason I ever ask what people paid for something is if they are a good friend and I am considering buying something similar. If they respond with a phrase that they "paid enough", that's fine. I'll drop it.

This does not apply to said situation. I'm talking about a guy that makes it his business to try and know your business, while sharing too much of his own business.

Yeah, I guess it would depend on context. It's not like I'm going to walk up to a complete stranger and ask what they paid for something.

Now this I could somehow respect a little. Just the obscurity of the situation is worth some points.

I wouldn't think twice about doing this if i were at a public event and said person was eating a tray of bomb *** looking nachos

Haha again, context. I have a feeling that Yoda is more referring to goods that are a little more expensive than nachos

Even if they had beans, diced tomatoes, and jalapenos?

No, I understand. I have a permanent scowl on my face that makes me very unapproachable to people I don't know well. I don't have to deal with this situation often.

I guess it really depends on which one is the Hawk fan.

Never mind must be the first one unless they are telling you how much they paid for Busch Light.

What like 7 layer nachos or an ultimate sampler?

I agree with you about the context, but when I ask someone how much something costs it is usually for informational purposes, and I am under the belief that talking about how much somebody makes is really taboo.

I would think the guy that is always saying how much he paid for something would be worse because I am not a fan of showboats. Although I don't mind hearing a story about how someone got an incredible deal. If the guys thinks he has a lot of incredible deals than it might get a little annoying.
